DIY Halloween-Themed Dog Treats

Our companions cant enjoy the same treats that we do this time of year. So, dog-friendly treats are a must to include our furry friends in the festivities! Below are treat recipes you can make for your pal!

No-Bake PB & Pumpkin Treats

Not only are these treats no-bake, but they are also grain free! all you need is:

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter
  • 8 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • shredded coconut for rolling

Once you combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, roll the dough into balls. Then, coat each ball in coconut.

Candy Corn Dog Treats

These frozen treats are a fantastic and festive recipe to make for your pal. You will need:

To make these layered treats, first fill the mold 1/3 full with yogurt and freeze. Then, mix 1/2 cup of yogurt with 1/2 cup of canned pumpkin. Once the first layer is frozen, add this mixture on top and freeze again. Then, mash the bananas and add the remaining yogurt. Once the previous layers are set, fill the rest of the mold with the final mixture and freeze until set.

Pumpkin Spice Puppaccinos

If you love pumpkin spice, your dog can too! For this quick treat you will need:

  • 3/4 cup coconut milk (or almond milk or goat milk)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

All you need to do is blend all the ingredients in a blender until well combined. Then, pour into small serving cups. If you want, you can pour and freeze the mixture into ice cube trays.

Apple Crunch Pupcakes

These are super simple to whip up and smell and taste delicious! All you will need is:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup apple sauce
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 chopped apple

First, combine the water, apple sauce, vanilla, egg, and honey. Then, in a separate bowl mix the flour and baking powder. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients. Then, fold in the chopped apple. Next, add the mixture into greased muffin tins. (mini muffin tins are preferred if you have them!) Then, bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 35 minutes. let them cool before serving!
