Pet Parents Can Make These Resolutions

2023 is upon us to start brainstorming positive changes for your and your pet’s lives! Health and exercise are the most popular New Year’s resolutions, but we’re going to expand on some other adjustments you could make this year! Both humans and pets like to switch up their routines every year to advance toward being their best selves. Keep you and Fido in tip-top shape during 2023 with these resolutions!

Exercise & Training

Dogs need at least an hour of outdoor exercise, but we challenge you to switch it up! Instead of the usual loop around the neighborhood, take Fido to a local park, hiking trail, or swimming spot. Switch up their routine so they can experience new environments and smells. While out and about, continue utilizing your dog’s basic commands as a refresher to keep those skills sharp in their minds. Or, use this year as the time to teach your pet new tricks or training commands!

Health & Wellness

Dog’s mouths are full of outdoor bacteria and can cause harmful health issues within Fido if untreated. Make sure to schedule your pet’s yearly Vet appointment and bi-monthly grooming, if needed. If you aren’t actively taking care of your pet’s dental hygiene, use 2023 as the starting point for doggy dental care!

Quality Time & Phone Usage

Our pets love spending time with us, especially quality snuggling time! Our pets notice when we ignore them while looking at our phones and scrolling through social media; however, this year, pet parents should start setting screen time regulations to decrease media intake. Instead, use that time more effectively around the house or take Fido on an adventure!

Clean Space, Clean Minds

Especially for pet parents, humans need a clean, organized space to work effectively and decrease distractions. Trying to work from home while worrying about what your dog is doing in the next room sounds incredibly stressful. Avoid any extra anxiety this year by maintaining a clean area for your and your pet’s safety.
