Lake Mary Dog Trainer
Sit Means Sit provides professional training services that will help your pet grow into a furry, obedient friend no matter the setting.
Dogs aren’t just our business, they’re our reason for excellence. Just imagine… you’re sitting on the patio of your favorite restaurant, a drink in your hand, the sun setting in an explosive display of color, people going about their lives, and your best canine friend devotedly resting at your feet. We believe that kind of relationship is for every dog and every owner.
We’ve compiled many training classes so that we’re as versatile as possible. As opposed to some other dog trainers who just have options for puppies, we have a training program to suit every pet dog, no matter the age, breed, behavior issue, or temperament. We even handle aggressive dogs, which is uncommon among trainers.
Connecting with you and your pet is something we love. We offer FREE consultations so that you can meet with a trainer, have an evaluation, and hear everything you need to know about our training methods. We know what it is to have a dog that brings more stress into the home than joy, so as the premier dog training company in Lake Mary, we’ve stepped up to provide our customers with a tried-and-true system that is specifically crafted for bringing dogs and their owners closer together.
Free parking around the building is just one of the steps we’ve taken to ensure your visit to our training center is as convenient as possible. Keep reading to learn more!

Board and Train
For the busy professionals or those heading out on vacation, we have our highly sought-after Board and Train program. You can leave your dog with us for up to 20 days to experience the best care and professional training.
In terms of efficiency, you can’t get better than this. Because your dog is completely immersed in the lifestyle of learning and growing, they are quickly transformed by the training programs into an obedient and attentive dog. When you return home, prepare yourself to receive a happy, healthy, well-behaved canine companion.
There is one consideration when you’re looking at the Board and Train program, and that is the transfer of leadership. Don’t fear, however. Our trainers will ensure that you have and know everything necessary to maintain your dog’s training at home and out in the world.
Our free consultations are the perfect opportunity for you to scope out the premises and meet with one of our professional trainers. Knowing that your dog will be well cared for is crucial to your enjoyment and relaxation, which is why we will do everything within our power to address and soothe any concerns you might have. Your dog’s transformation is just one call away!
Day and Train
Day Training is a combination of private lessons and boarding that suits even the busiest lifestyle. You can get your dog perfectly trained in just three weeks without disrupting your work schedule at all!
The sessions are set up so that you can drop your dog off in the morning hours and pick them up on your way home. When you arrive at the end of the day, there’s a 1-hour session that you won’t want to miss. This meeting with your dog’s trainer is your opportunity to learn how to maintain your dog’s training not only until the next lesson comes around, but also for their entire life.
The approach of this program is a game-changer because it gives the heavy lifting to our staff but allows for the personal responsibility of the owner, which fosters a strong connection between dog and human. Additionally, the change of environments can work in our favor to reinforce all their training because it forces the dog to adapt to new surroundings while maintaining certain boundaries.
The lack of overnights doesn’t damage the training. Your pup will still learn vital skills such as obedience, attention, and socialization. This way, you can enjoy all the benefits of combining efficiency, convenience, and expertise without sacrificing your evening bonding time.
Dogs live their best lives when they have clear boundaries and instructions. Unlock your dog’s most joyful self by signing up today!
Private Lessons
Private lessons are for the owner who wants to have a hands-on part in their dog’s training. This approach deepens the connection between owner and dog by building instruction, establishing the owner as the dog’s master, and positively reinforcing good behaviors.
The first step to setting up private lessons in whatever place and at time you choose is to give us a call and set up a free consultation. The evaluation will allow you time to voice your concerns and begin establishing a relationship with one of our professional dog trainers.
Group Classes
Group Classes are fun, engaging, and incredibly beneficial for both dog and owner. This particular setting is meant to prepare your dog for the outside world, which is full of interesting things that will take a dog’s mind off of obedience. These classes are included with every Sit Means Sit membership and they happen multiple times a week both inside and outside at parks.
You may think that all the distractions of other dogs, unfamiliar people, and strange environments will be negative factors for your dog’s training outcome, but the opposite is true. Group Classes are the balance between protecting the learning environment and using real-life situations to ensure your dog will behave well in every environment.
Puppy Training Class
Adding a puppy to your family dynamic is a serious decision. It’s a lot of energy and responsibility in a little bundle that can turn your life upside down if you’re not careful. Puppy training is the best way to make sure you all begin your life together on the right foot.
We hold classes every Saturday at our training facility for puppies that are 10-20 weeks old. They learn essential life skills such as potty training, marker training, socialization, lure training, and general confidence. As the owner you will learn how to continue and reinforce that training every day so that it becomes a strong foundation that will last the dog’s entire life.

Dog Owners Reviews
We love customers and their dogs. They love us.
If you’re hesitant about this company, take the leap!!! I was so scared to leave my fur baby for training, but when I got him back, he was so well behaved and properly trained. They care about your pups and will send you pictures throughout the stay. My golden retriever was decently trained but wasn’t…
I’ve had dogs pretty much all of my life. I grew up with them, loved them, cared for them but I didn’t really know how to train them until I joined Sit Means Sit. They helped me be a better leader for my Doberman Daisy. When she struggled they helped me realize she was leash-reactive…
Sit Means Sit is AMAZING! I first contacted them two years ago to help with my 5 year old dog, Loki. He had been exhibiting some very aggressive behavior due to some changes in our home. I opted to do the board and train and the results were fantastic. I got updates of his progress…
I adopted a 3 1/2 year old Shepard mix from the pound 3 months ago. After a month of warming up to me, he was comfortable. He began showing his dominant personality and gave me huge challenges. Since joining Sit Mean Sit, I am able to take my dog on walks without dragging behind him…
