Winter Park Dog Trainer

For absolute control, dog training at Sit Means Sit is the way to go. We offer professional dog training services that deepen connections and improve your pet’s quality of life.

A well-behaved dog is not only a happy dog but a happy owner. That dream of a dog who is capable of calming sitting with you, enjoying the city skyline from your favorite patio bar, and spending your evening relaxing after a long day of work isn’t out of reach for anyone.

At Sit Means Sit, we believe that greatness lies within every dog, no matter the age, breed, or how long their bad behaviors have been present. Everyone is welcome to participate in our wide range of programs.

We’ve done our best to have options that will work for every pet parent, no matter their lifestyle. Dog obedience training isn’t just about having a pet who comes when they’re called and doesn’t tug on the leash, though those things are important. Training deepens the bonds between pet and pet owner and creates connections that will last a lifetime.

Some of our programs include Board and Tain, Day and Tain, Private Lessons, Group Classes, and basic Obedience Training. We even handle aggressive dogs, which is unique among dog training companies due to the complicated nature of such cases.

By the end of any of these programs, you will see the positive impact our training methods have on your pet and you will get to experience firsthand how having a better-behaved dog will shift your life in a wonderful way.

We offer FREE consultations for the sake of connecting with dogs and their owners. With just one phone call, you set yourself up for a meeting with one of our dog trainers who will answer all your questions.

Board and Train

Board and Train is a highly sought-after, luxury approach to your dog’s training. You could have a trip upcoming and need to find a place for your family dog to stay while you’re gone, or you could just be a busy person who struggles to find the necessary time for training. Whatever your situation, Board and Train is the quickest, most efficient route to a well-behaved dog.

For up to 20 days, you can leave your dog at our Sit Means Sit facility to receive top-tier care and training. We know you’ll miss your canine best friend, but at the end of their stay, you will be blown away by the behavior improvements that have taken place. On top of having good manners, your dog will go on to experience a fuller life because of their training and experiences with us.

As the owner, your job is to step into the role of a leader. When you return to retrieve your dog, you will spend some time with one of our trainers to discuss what your pet learned and receive some of your training on how to maintain and continue establishing the good behaviors that your dog worked so hard to attain during their time with Sit Means Sit. There’s no need to worry about this step because our staff will ensure you go home fully equipped.

We know that leaving your dog anywhere overnight can be a little bit stressful, which is why we strongly encourage you to schedule one of our free consultations. At this appointment, you can discuss all your worries with one of our professional trainers, view the places your dog will be spending their time, and walk away feeling confident your pet will receive all the love and attention we have to offer.

Day and Train

The Day and Train Program blends the convenience of Board and Train with the involvement of Private Lessons. This unique approach sets it apart from all other training programs by fitting easily into a busy life or work schedule. Here’s how it works: You drop your dog off in the morning to spend the day with us. They go through 6-8 hours of fun and engaging training while you’re going about your day, and then you return to pick them up. Upon your arrival at the training facility, you will have a 1-hour session with your dog’s trainer to learn about what happened that day and how you can continue to reinforce the new training. This process happens once a week for three weeks.

By approaching the training during the day and allowing time in the evenings for rest and foundational strengthening at home, we’re bringing in the best of both worlds. Our team handles the heavy lifting while you and your dog ease into a better life. While your dog is learning manners, we’re also empowering you, the owner, to continue instilling all the right things.

The Day and Train Program offers maximum convenience while still allowing you to be involved and without sacrificing your comfortable evenings at home bonding with your canine companion.

You are one phone call away from unlocking the true potential of your dog’s behavior and creating the most joyful, healthy connection between you and your pet. Contact just today to get started!

If you’re hesitant about this company, take the leap!!! I was so scared to leave my fur baby for training, but when I got him back, he was so well behaved and properly trained. They care about your pups and will send you pictures throughout the stay. My golden retriever was decently trained but wasn’t…

I’ve had dogs pretty much all of my life. I grew up with them, loved them, cared for them but I didn’t really know how to train them until I joined Sit Means Sit. They helped me be a better leader for my Doberman Daisy. When she struggled they helped me realize she was leash-reactive…

Sit Means Sit is AMAZING! I first contacted them two years ago to help with my 5 year old dog, Loki. He had been exhibiting some very aggressive behavior due to some changes in our home. I opted to do the board and train and the results were fantastic. I got updates of his progress…

I adopted a 3 1/2 year old Shepard mix from the pound 3 months ago. After a month of warming up to me, he was comfortable. He began showing his dominant personality and gave me huge challenges. Since joining Sit Mean Sit, I am able to take my dog on walks without dragging behind him…
