Board and Train

The Board and Train program is highly sought after by busy professionals and vacationing pet parents. When your dog is enrolled in this program, they will automatically learn some basic skills such as crate training and basic manners, but our process moves far beyond that to the intentional curating of good behaviors that will last a lifetime.

You don’t have to leave town to take advantage of the Board and Train Membership. Anyone can drop their dog off for up to 20 days to receive 24-hour care as well as precision training. At the end of your dog’s stay, you will no doubt be overcome by the positive change that has taken place.

When you are ready to take your dog home, you will have to accept the responsibility of becoming your dog’s new leader. Without your direct involvement during the time of training, the transfer of leadership will be crucial. However, with our knowledgeable and understanding staff, you can comfortably take charge and return home feeling confident in your new position.

Leaving your dog somewhere overnight comes with some anxiety for many dog owners. To calm these worries, you can take advantage of our free consultation to view where your dog will be staying, meet with some of our staff, and allow your dog some time to become acquainted with their surroundings.

Day and Train

If you want to be involved but don’t have the time to devote to private lessons or group classes, consider the Day and Train program as your perfect blend. The convenience of the setup allows for even the busiest person to work dog training into their schedule.

Here’s the way it works: Once a week for three weeks, you drop off your dog for 6-8 hours. During that time, your dog will study the ways of good manners and obedience while enjoying the care of our loving instructors. At the end of the workday, you will come back to the training center for a 1-hour session with your dog’s trainer. The session will cover everything your dog learned that day and it will teach you how to maintain and reinforce all the training so that it isn’t undone by the next week or ever again.

This program fits easily into your life without sacrificing your evening canine companion.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are the most involved that you can get with your dog’s training while still employing a professional dog trainer. Not only are these lessons good for the dog, they’re good for the owner, and they’re good for the relationship between the two. Your pet will learn everything they need to know to be one of the most well-behaved dogs in the city. You will learn how to keep that foundation of training strong and healthy. Your relationship with your dog will grow deeper and fuller than anything you have ever experienced. It’s a positive outcome on every side.

Group Classes

Group classes provide real-world experience for your pet. Most dogs don’t only stay at home in their comfortably curated environment, but they go on walks, meet other people, dogs, squirrels, and every manner of distraction. Group classes don’t detract from your pet’s training experience, they add to it in a positive way by ensuring your dog won’t fail in any environment.

Group classes take place multiple times a week at the Sit Means Sit training facilities. They are also included with every Membership, so you can partake whenever you’re feeling ready!

If you’re hesitant about this company, take the leap!!! I was so scared to leave my fur baby for training, but when I got him back, he was so well behaved and properly trained. They care about your pups and will send you pictures throughout the stay. My golden retriever was decently trained but wasn’t…

I’ve had dogs pretty much all of my life. I grew up with them, loved them, cared for them but I didn’t really know how to train them until I joined Sit Means Sit. They helped me be a better leader for my Doberman Daisy. When she struggled they helped me realize she was leash-reactive…

Sit Means Sit is AMAZING! I first contacted them two years ago to help with my 5 year old dog, Loki. He had been exhibiting some very aggressive behavior due to some changes in our home. I opted to do the board and train and the results were fantastic. I got updates of his progress…

I adopted a 3 1/2 year old Shepard mix from the pound 3 months ago. After a month of warming up to me, he was comfortable. He began showing his dominant personality and gave me huge challenges. Since joining Sit Mean Sit, I am able to take my dog on walks without dragging behind him…
