As Seen Training On
Longwood Dog Trainer
Sit Means Sit is committed to obedience in every setting, not just at home. When you and your dog sign on with us, you’re signing up for a better life together.
Our training programs at Sit Means Sit are curated for dogs and dog owners in every walk of life. The goal by the end of it all is to have a dog who can be taken out on or off the leash, in quiet or busy settings, familiar or unfamiliar places, and so on, and so forth. In short, your dog should be able to go with you anywhere.
We offer many kinds of memberships and programs so that you can pick what is best suited to your lifestyle and your dog’s temperament.
Unlike many dog training facilities, we offer more than dog obedience training, and we accept dogs of all ages, breeds, and behavior problems. We have Day Training programs, Board and Train, aggression management, private classes, group classes, and more! Our goal is to be as versatile as possible because we want every dog to have a shot at their best life.
We offer FREE consultations so that we can connect and evaluate your pup before anything official begins. At this meeting, you can meet with a trainer, ask all your questions, and see the facility.
Your dog is at their happiest when they have set boundaries and they understand their owner’s preferences. As the owner, you can surely understand how having an obedient dog contributes positively to your relationship. Our proven system will bring you and your dog closer than you ever have been.

Board and Train
The Board and Train Memberships stand out at Sit Means Sit for obvious reasons. It can’t be denied that our boarding services and our training services combined create an unstoppable force for good in your dog’s life as well as your own. If you’re headed out of town, drop your dog off for a stay at Sit Means Sit. They’ll receive top-notch care and training that will have your dog transformed by the time you come home.
As appealing as this program is for those who are headed on vacation and need to find boarding for their dog anyway, this isn’t just for people going on trips. Anyone who wants the fastest, most in-depth approach to their dog’s success is welcome to partake. The complete immersion into a course of growth and learning propels your dog through their studies in a way that can’t otherwise be experienced.
The transfer of leadership happens at the end of your dog’s stay with us and is crucial to the longevity of the training. However, even at this point, there’s no cause for concern. With the help of our professional trainers, you leave the compound feeling completely prepared to reinforce your dog’s training for the rest of their life.
We know that it can be a source of stress to have to leave your dog somewhere unfamiliar, which is why we encourage every dog owner to take advantage of our free consultation. It’s the perfect opportunity to see the premises, become familiar with the dog trainers, and ask all your questions.
Day and Train
The Day and Train program is our hybrid option. It is the perfect mixture of private lessons and boarding that blends seamlessly with busy lifestyles. One session a week for three weeks is all you need to have your dog fully transformed.
Drop your dog off in the mornings for 6-8 hours and pick them up at the end of your work day. When you arrive to collect your dog, there’s a 1-hour session with your dog’s trainer that you will want to take advantage of. The meeting will inform you of what your dog learned and teach you how to maintain the skills and become an authority figure in your dog’s life.
This setup allows our team to take the heavy lifting portion and allow you to ease into a different kind of relationship with your dog while still having a personal claim in the outcome. The days at the training center with the nights at home expose your dog to different situations where they can retain and strengthen their training.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are for the dog owners who want to be directly involved in the outcome of their dog’s training. Without fail, the lessons build deeper, long-lasting relationships between dog and owner. They construct and positively reinforce good behaviors while instructing the owner on how to maintain the training for the rest of the dog’s life.
A free consultation is the best beginning to your partnership with Sit Means Sit. The consultation allows you to meet with a trainer, see our facilities, meet some of our dogs, and establish a connection. It is your opportunity to voice any and all concerns you might have with private lessons, your situation, or anything else, so schedule it today!
Group Classes
Group classes bring together dogs and owners to create a class that’s fun, engaging, and beneficial. These classes prepare your dog for a big world that’s jam-packed with distractions. By introducing other animals, unfamiliar people, and new sights and sounds, we’re establishing training in a way that can’t be undermined by these factors.
These classes are multiple times a week and are included with every Sit Means Sit Membership. Group classes meld the perfect amount of individual attention with a challenging learning environment that puts your dog in a place where they can handle the real world.
Puppy Training Class
When you add a puppy into your life, it’s crucial to start your relationship off right. You’re signing on for a multi-year commitment and your hope is undoubtedly for a best friend. The best way to ensure a deep, life-long connection with your pup is to establish boundaries early on.
We hold puppy classes every Saturday for those dogs that are 10-20 weeks old. Your little friend will learn all the basic – but very essential – skills like potty training, marker training, socialization, lure training, and overall confidence, and you, the owner, will learn how to maintain those skills for the rest of your dog’s life.

Matt is the proud owner of the Orlando Sit Means Sit Franchise, which was established in 2011. He owns four dogs; two Malinois (Kilo & Kage), & two Rottweilers (Diesel & Titus). He has been training dogs since 2009, when he started with his mother in law, Jori Pollard, the owner of another Sit Means Sit Franchise in Colorado.
The question gets asked “how did you get into dog training?” He will answer “I couldn’t pass a math class in college.” His driving force is to create an environment where people can come & learn how to do MORE with their dogs. A favorite quote of his is “Time is the most precious commodity that is out there. It’s the one thing that you can’t buy or ever buy back.”

If you’re hesitant about this company, take the leap!!! I was so scared to leave my fur baby for training, but when I got him back, he was so well behaved and properly trained. They care about your pups and will send you pictures throughout the stay. My golden retriever was decently trained but wasn’t…
Sit Means Sit is one amazing company to work with! They have made a huge improvement in my family’s relationship with our pet, Smokey. He is still young and so rowdy we were ready to just give up….
