St. Pete Beach Dog Park

This gorgeous beach has amazing amenities for all of your furry friends. This dog beach has many water dishes, eateries, and goodies that are all available within walking distance of the park. There are also plenty of dog-friendly bars and restaurants dotting the beach. St. Pete has a fenced-in playpen where your pooch can frolic and play with other adorable pups.

Pass-a-Grille Dog Beach

This beach and pavilion are great for humans and dogs alike. At Pass-A-Grille, your pup can eat right next to you! Paradise Grille pavilion is a great place to take in the many sights of Pass-a-Grille! There are also many dog-friendly restaurants within walking distance of the beach, including Shamrocks Bar, a tourist favorite. However, pups are not allowed on the gulf side beaches, so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

Gandy Beach Mangroves

This beach is great for pups who love the ocean. There is a 20-foot wading area that dogs are free to splash and swim in! Gandy Beach is also off-leashing, meaning your pup can run and play in the sand as he pleases. Grills, RVs, kayaks, tents, and boats are also all welcome. So head down to Gandy Beach and enjoy some fun in the sun with Fido!

Upham Beach Park

Located south of Corey Avenue, this dog beach is amazing for pups and their owners alike. This beach offers on-leash fun in all areas of the beach. While dogs aren’t allowed on the boardwalk, they’re welcome to enjoy the many sights and sounds of the beach! Dogs can also enjoy the two-acre dog park, filled with shady trees and tons of grass. Upham Beach Park is also a great place to socialize your pup. October through April, the Corey Areas Merchants Association hosts a doggie social on the beach every Wednesday!

Fort de Soto Park

This giant park has everything a dog would want! Its 600 acres encompass a park, fishing pier, beach, and off-leash dog areas!  This park also has picnic areas and playgrounds, making it perfect for the whole family! The Fort de Soto park has two separate pup areas, one for large breeds and one for smaller breeds. While this park technically encompasses more than just a beach, it’s still one of the best spots on this list.
