Project Street Vet
Dr. Kwane Stuart is The Street Vet who brings free medical care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness. He founded the nonprofit Project Street Vet in 2020 to provide care to needy pets. Other passionate veterinarians volunteer their time to help animals on the street, too. Additionally, the project operates in Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta, Orlando, and Santa Cruz. The project is committed to protecting the human-animal bond that is vital to the livelihood of both the owner and companion.
Stand Up For Pits Foundation
This nonprofit foundation aims to end the abuse and discrimination of Pit Bull-type dogs through education and advocacy. Rebecca Corry founded the organization. The comedian adopted her “pibble”, Angel, which led to the foundation’s creation. Additionally, the organization hosts live events, fundraisers, and comedy shows, sponsors animal clinics, organizes donation drives, and awards grants to rescue groups.
